I’m so excited!

We put a lot of effort into our suits and sometimes, if one catches my eye, I’ll end up following it’s progress through completion just out of general interest. The suit for Thad Wolff, with its electric colors and graphics, got me from the moment Tatianne in graphics was preparing the first line drawings. I was bugging Matt about getting pictures of it in action before it was even in a box!

Here’s an e-mail I got from Brian Richardson about it:

Hi Brian, (admin note: that Brian to this Brian. We’re everywhere!)

We are very happy to have the photos on your web site/blog. Those leathers got as much attention as the bike. Someone said that the “MotoCzysz rider looked like an astronaut, but that Thad Wolff looked like a Super-hero!” We like that so we just called him Captain America.

[…]

By the way, we will be displaying the bike at the International Motorcycle show in DC on January 13, 14, &15th. Unfortunately, the leathers are in CA and the bike is in Virginia.

We have been asked to bring the bike to the 2012 Isle of Man TT, but we lack the sponsorship. It will take about 40K to get the bike ready and transport to the Isle of Man. If you know of anyone who would like to sponsor a team and be in the pits during the TT, please put them in touch with me. Soon we will be too late, so I am asking anyone who will listen (sorry). Our other dream is to be the first team to travel from coast to coast using an all-electric vehicle in under four days.

Anyway, check out Moto-Electra Racing on Facebook for our latest adventures. Thanks again for all your help! This was a really big deal for me. I’m just a sheep farmer from Blue Grass, VA and yet I had my moment at the Laguna Seca Moto GP. Thanks to Thad Wolff and Vanson Leathers, our team looked like real pros!
